More Info

Since its opening in 1990, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has provided a great outdoor venue to the people of Houston and its surrounding areas. The pavilion is located in The Woodlands, just half an hour from downtown Houston, and schedules the country's biggest performers in music, dance, and other forms of entertainment. With both regular and lawn seating surrounded by scenic woods, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is the ideal venue for fantastic performances, whether it be spring, summer, or fall.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion was built in 1990 to provide the people of The Woodlands with a fantastic event venue. Since that time, the amphitheater has scheduled a variety of performances, including ballets, operas, symphonies, and mainstream musicians. After sustaining damage from Hurricane Ike in 2008, the amphitheater received a massive renovation that included a larger canopy, more seats, and more box seats. With a new covered seating capacity of 6,500 and a lawn capacity of 10,000, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is one of the largest outdoor venues in the Houston area, and an ideal stop for big name performers on tour.

With its sheer size and quality of performers that grace its stage, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is one of the premier music venues in the greater Houston area. Be sure to check the amphitheater's schedule of performers to avoid missing your favorite musicians and performances.
