The Supernova is Station Theater's signature improv form in which stories and discussion are molded and reshaped into original improvised content. The Supernova cast invites a special guest each week to tell true, personal stories in a one-on-one interview format. Guests vary week-to-week, ranging from traveling comedians, local celebrities, or even selected audience volunteers! This week, we welcome C. Patrick McIlvain of the Walk for Mental Health Awareness - Houston. 100% of the proceeds from tonight's show will benefit the walk, which raises awareness of mental health stigma. 1969/1972 – U.S. Navy – Communication Yeoman Participated in the First National March on Washington D.C. for Lesbian and Gay Rights – 1979.                        1995 Board Member of the Houston LGBT Political Caucus. Volunteer Committee member 1986/87– Wortham Theater Center / Fundraising & Ground Breaking ceremony   1982 - 86. Served as Administrative Assistant HCDP Chairman John Odam   1984-1997 Pride Committee (served on various Committees) Office Director – Candidate Annise Parker – Houston City Council 1995. Volunteer Coordinator – Candidate Annise Parker – Houston City Councl 1997 Office Director – 1998 - 2000 for Sue Smith Schechter – Chair Harris County Democratic Party     Represented the City of Houston, State of Texas at the National Senior Games, competing in the 5k & 10k in 2005, 2007 and 2007. Staff Volunteer for candidate Bill White – Mayor of Houston 2004, Staff  Volunteer – Mayor’s Office of Special Events – 2005 to present    2009 - Participated in the last leg of the National Walk to Wiashington D.C. for Depression Awareness.            2010 - Represented the City of Houston, State of Texas at the National Senior Games, competing in the 5k & 10k in 2005, 2007 and 2007.   2010 – Present  Founding Director -The Walk for Mental Health Awareness – Houston – with post walk Mental Health Expo (501.c-3 All volunteer)                                                                             2015 – Present Vice-Chair Veterans Consumer Advocacy Council – 6th. Floor – Mental Health – Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center 2016 – Present   Project Advisory Committee for Family to Family Network       2017 – Steering Committee – 2017 Veterans Mental Health Summit And I have four full-time room-mates: Major Depression, PTSD, Social Anxiety and Paranoia and they try really hard to take-up a LOT of my time.
